Freight wagon 12t Planked Ventilated Van of the ARMY.Prototype: British railways were originally developed primarily for freight transport, and early railway companies used a wide variety of wagon types to carry goods requiring covered transport. Each railway company had its own designs, and the London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) was no exception. Many of their freight wagons had a wheelbase of 10 feet and a load capacity of 12 tons.
