Model: OO gauge DC. British Railways Class 9F steam locomotive.Prototype: A total of 251 of these heavy freight locomotives were built by BR between January 1954 and March 1960. Production was split between the Crewe and Swindon works, where 198 and 53 examples were built, respectively. No. 92018 was brought new from Crewe to Wellingborough in October 1954 and retired from Carlisle Kingmoor in April 1967, after a wastefully short service of just 12 years and five months.
