After examining several prototypes, BR ordered 20 locomotives from Brush Engineering in February 1961. The resulting design became the legendary Brush Type 4 diesel locomotive – a practical and versatile design with a distinctive cab. Powered by a Sulzer engine and with an initial output of 2,750 hp, the locomotive reac
